Have you ever had such a formative music experience, whether as an artist or as a fan, that you still rave about it years later? Moments that still make your heart beat faster and put a smile on your face? These moments are exactly what we want to report on in ‘My best fan moment’.
In our first feature Andreas Hagemann a.k.a MCHg tells us about one of his best experiences when he was still on the road with WieSpaet. Since then he started his new project mehrYEAH, the first singles have already been released and the first longplayer of the duo will follow in spring 2022. And of course, they already have a Fanklub.
Stage fog, blinding lights, dancing people, the smell of sweat and cigarettes (which was still possible then) – the Flex in Vienna is raving, it’s either very late or very early. We’re playing with WieSpaet as headliner at the BigBrother Awards when all of a sudden, I see people I recognize in the front row in front of the stage. The three frontmen of Seeed plus half the band are dancing to our music. I can hardly believe my eyes; I’m really looking forward to the last song and I give everything.
I’ve been a Seeed fan for ages, so when the applause stops and the DJ takes over, I go to join Peter Fox, Frank Dellé and Demba Nabé at the bar. They turn to me and actually congratulate me on the cool show, I am a little starstruck and incredibly honored. We drink beer and talk for a while. Feeling like I am on cloud nine I float to the backstage area, where the party is already well underway.
